On-device AI refers to technology that performs artificial intelligence computations directly on edge devices without relying on cloud servers.

Sejong University was selected as an outstanding participating university in the '2025 ICT Credit-Linked Project Internship' program, hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and organized by the Institute of Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation (IITP) and the Federation of Korean Information Industries.

Sejong University signed an industry-academia cooperation agreement with Northrop Grumman Corporation, a global leader in the defense industry from the United States, on October 23 at KINTEX in Ilsan, Goyang, Gyeonggi-do, during the 'Seoul ADEX 2025,' an international aerospace and defense industry exhibition.

Sejong University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Jaysingpur College in India to promote mutual cooperation in research activities. This agreement aims to foster international collaborative research in advanced convergence fields such as nanotechnology, energy, and materials science -- through joint research, researcher exchange, and academic information sharing between the two institutions.

Sejong University has established itself as a research-centered university by achieving outstanding research results in various domestic and international evaluations, including the THE World University Rankings and the Leiden Ranking. Outstanding citation indices and international joint research indicators show that Sejong University is developing into a global hub of knowledge production. Central to these achievements are systematic administrative support and research infrastructure, but above all, the academic synergy created by outstanding faculty from around the world is particularly significant.

Professor Mosab Kaseem of the Department of Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials Engineering has developed multifunctional hybrid coating technology through research utilizing plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO).

Graduate students Kwon Soon-hong (doctoral program) and Son Woo-young (master's program), members of the Protocol Engineering Laboratory (under the supervision of Professor Lee Jong-hyuk) in the Department of Computer and Information Security, each received a special prize at the 2025 National Cryptography Competition.

Song Min-hee (‘23), a student in the Department of Computer and Information Security, won the Korea Internet & Security Agency Director's Award at the 2025 Information Security Academic Paper Presentation Conference hosted by Korea Institute of Information Security and Cryptology Chungcheong Branch.

Graduate students Yoon Seon-won (doctoral program, ‘22) and Wang Su-hyeon (master's program, ‘25), members of Professor Maeng Seung-kyu's laboratory in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, have been selected for the National Research Foundation's Science and Engineering Research Support Program.
