The international security environment recently changed into an invisible and asymmetrical aspect

Large-scale national projects to train and cultivate next-generation experts in the fields of climate, energy, and the environment will be implemented, which are centered on Sejong University.

The Phytochemical-Based Digital Breeding Lab and the research team for the global mid-level research project Identification and Use of Key Genes Associated with Phosphate Use Efficiency from Sejong University held a joint symposium with Professor Tobias Kretzchmar's research team at Southern Cross University (SCU) in Australia and discussed cooperation in the food crop research and natural product-based life sciences in order to respond to and address the global phosphate fertilizer shortage.

Sejong University’s Department of Environmental Convergence Engineering’s Marine Ecology and Climate Change Adaptation Lab, which is supervised by Professor Noh Jun‑seong, and the Department of Smart Life Industry Convergence’s Genetic Big Data Lab, which is supervised by Professor Kim Kyung‑do, were selected as Excellent Safety Management Laboratories certification audit for the 2025 academic year, which was supervised by the Ministry of Science and ICT.

Professor Baek Seong-wook from the Department of Content Software and Professor Hwang Jin-soo from the Department of Food Service Management have been selected as Highly Cited Researchers (HCRs) by Clarivate, which is a global academic information analysis agent, for 2 consecutive year.

The research team, which was led by Professor Lim Tae-gyu from Department of Food and Biotechnology, scientifically investigated and found the male-pattern baldness suppression effect and mechanism of action of ginsenoside Rf, which is a unique component of Korean ginseng.

A research paper by Professor Koo Young-hyun's research team from the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science was accepted for the International Conference on Learning Representations (ICLR 2026), which is a world-class international academic conference on artificial intelligence.

Shin Jeong-woo, a student majoring in English Literature, has been selected for Forbes Korea’s “30 Under 30 2026.”

Kim Chan-gyeol, who is a student from the Department of Electronic Information and Communication Engineering, won the Best Paper Award at the 2025 Korean Association for Spatial Structures (KASS) Fall Conference.

Hwang Ji-hoon, who is a doctoral student in the Department of Smart Biotechnology Convergence from class of 2024, is a graduate student in Professor Kyung-do Kim's lab in the Department of Smart Biotechnology Convergence. He was selected as an outstanding oral presenter at the International Conference of the Genetics Society of Korea (ICGSK 2025).
